Already the changes are becoming obvious in this beautiful woman, Elizabeth, as each day she surrenders more of herself to Jesus Christ. Her smile, full of joy and peace, says it all. Elizabeth is at a wonderful Christ-centered recovery home, in southwestern Tennessee. God placed her in our care from the Morgan County Jail as the Court released her to the custody of Alpha House on November 22, 2017. She has now passed her four-month mark in the 12-18 month faith-based program and by all reports and indications, Elizabeth, is not only doing well, but has given her life to Christ! What a praise, God; she was baptized February 18th. She has asked everyone to call her "Elizabeth" and not "Beth." As Beth, she was a drug addict, unable to keep a job, struggling to keep from going under, putting her children at risk, and winding up in the Morgan County Jail. That is where we first met her, at our weekly 12-Step Celebrate Recovery Inside class. Not everyone is ready to say, "Help me." But when she cried out, we reached out. God never puts you, where He does not want you. As a new Jesus follower, she has buried "Beth" and put on the name of a new woman in Christ, "Elizabeth." Pray with us and Elizabeth with this scripture verse God has given her:
Psalms 27:8 “My heart has heard You say. Come and talk with Me. And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.”
